Māori & Pasifika

Kotahi tonu te hiringa I kake ai Tane,
Ko te hiringa I te Mahara
There was but one way whereby Tane was to overcome all opposition, and achieve

It was by the power of the mind...

Tena koutou.

At UCOL, nearly a third of our students identify as tangata whenua, which has a significant influence on the UCOL culture. An inclusive, multicultural environment is what makes UCOL special and we are committed to increasing the number of tauira Māori and Pasifika studying at UCOL and achieving success for all our students.

We make sure that we support student success with a holistic, cultural based and focused support programme, and we are proud of Te Atakura, our relationship-based teaching and learning approach.

We work closely and collaboratively with local iwi to help achieve the best educational outcomes for their students and assisting iwi and Māori community development.
